Protesters in the UK beamed images of US President Donald Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein onto Windsor Castle on Tuesday, just hours before Trump’s arrival for a state visit.

The stunt was carried out by Led by Donkeys, a protest group known for its viral projections targeting political leaders. The video, displayed for several minutes on one of the castle towers, included Trump’s mugshot, Epstein’s portraits, old newspaper headlines, and footage of the two men dancing together.

Police in Windsor said four people were arrested “on suspicion of malicious communications.” Chief Superintendent Felicity Parker of Thames Valley Police said officers “responded swiftly to stop the projection,” adding that any unauthorised activity near Windsor Castle is treated “extremely seriously.”

Trump has long faced scrutiny over his past ties to Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has also been touched by the scandal, dismissing Britain’s ambassador to Washington after revelations about his links to Epstein.

While protesters gathered in Windsor on Tuesday, larger demonstrations are planned in London during Trump’s visit. The US president, however, is expected to avoid the capital and wider public appearances.

Trump and First Lady Melania will stay at Windsor Castle on Wednesday as guests of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. On Thursday, Trump is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Starmer at the official countryside residence for political and economic talks before returning to Washington.
