‘The Bengal Files’ box office collection day 12

'The Bengal Files' box office collection day 12: The Vivek Agnihotri film with Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi crosses Rs 15 crore

‘The Bengal Files’ clashed at the box office with Tiger Shroff’s ‘Baaghi 4’ and ‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’. It was this Hollywood horror franchise movie which did better than the other two movies. By the end of first week, the collection of ‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’ is Rs 67.87 crore. Meanwhile, Tiger Shroff’s ‘Baaghi 4′ has not managed to cross Rs 50 crore mark in the last one week.’The Bengal Files’ has collected the lowest among all the three movies. However, there’s been strong buzz around the film and it also released in much lesser screens than the rest of the two. The main market of the film was Bengal and the fact that it did not release there, curbed its box office impact. According to Sacnilk, ‘The Bengal Files’ had seen some growth over its first weekend on Saturday and Sunday. After that, the film collected in the Rs 1 crore mark all through the week and by the end of week 1, after Thursday numbers, the movie made Rs 11.25 crore. On day 8 which is second Friday, the film made Rs 6 lakh. However, it saw some mild growth over the second weekend and made Rs 1.15 crore and Rs 1.1 crore respectively on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, day 11, it made only Rs 4 lakh and on second Tuesday, which is day 12, it has made Rs 50 lakh.
