'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra' box office collections day 20: Kalyani Priyadarshan's film soars; crosses Rs 124 crores

The fantasy epic ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra’, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, continues its dream run at the box office. The superhero film has successfully entered its third week on a high. The film has now grossed Rs 124.90 crore India net in 20 days, as reported by the Sacnilk website.

‘Lokah’s momentum holds in week 3

According to the reports, the film earned an estimated Rs 2.75 crore net on Day 20 (Tuesday, September 16) across all languages. This comes after a strong third weekend where it collected Rs 6.65 crore on Saturday and Rs 7 crore on Sunday.

Impressive Malayalam occupancy figures

On Day 20, the film recorded an overall 29.75% occupancy in Malayalam theaters, with night shows touching nearly 44%. In Telugu states, the film saw 14.92% occupancy with a steady presence in select multiplexes. The occupancy rates for the original Malayalam version is surely the highest.

Big win for team Dominic Arun and Kalyani

Directed by Dominic Arun, the film features Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead, alongside Naslen K. Gafoor, Sandy Master, Arun Kurian, and Vijayaraghavan. The film is receiving positive reviews from the audiences and even from the celebrities such as Jayaram, Alia Bhatt, Akshay Kumar and more. Recently the ‘Drishyam’ director shared his praise for the Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer during the promotions of his upcoming film ‘Mirage’. Jeethu also had a word of caution for those who will copy this idea and create superhero movies, following the success of ‘Lokah’.
