PM Modi's 75th birthday: How BJP plans to celebrate — 10 things lined up across the country

NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party-led state governments are set to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday with a flurry of schemes and events across the country.The prime minister himself is scheduled to visit Dhar in Madhya Pradesh, where he is expected to make a series of announcements, including the launch of the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ campaign, distribution of sickle cell cards, and promotion of Swadeshi products.The MP government has appointed senior leaders Tulsi Silavat and Kailash Vijayvargiya as “Ministers-in-Waiting” for the PM’s visit.10 Things Lined Up:

  • A national award-winning film Chalo Jeete Hain, inspired by a childhood incident in PM Modi’s life, will be screened across lakhs of schools and several cinema halls for the “silent heroes” of society across the country.
  • Apart from the film screening, the celebrations will include a two-week-long ‘Sewa Pakhwada’, featuring blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, exhibitions on PM Modi’s achievements, and various public discussions.
  • Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta-led Delhi government is all set to launch various development projects and welfare initiatives.
  • The BJP government in Delhi will launch 75 development projects and welfare initiatives during 15 days of ‘Sewa Pakhwada’, from September 19 to October 2, marking PM Modi’s 75th birthday this year.
  • PM Modi will transfer funds under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana directly into the bank accounts of eligible women across the country with a single click.
  • PM Modi will launch the Suman Sakhi Chatbot to raise awareness on maternal and child health. The chatbot will provide timely and accurate information to pregnant women in rural and remote areas, ensuring access to essential health services.
  • Union minister Amit Shah will launch 15 development initiatives, including hospital blocks, 101 Arogya Mandirs, 150 dialysis centres, 75 drones for policing, and the foundation stone laying of two waste-to-energy plants, among others, at an event to be held at Thyagraj Stadium.
  • The Delhi Fire Service will roll out 24 Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs), which will be deployed at locations vulnerable to traffic congestion and fire incidents.
  • The 15-day-long ‘Sewa Pakhwada’, marking PM Modi’s 75th birthday, will see a multitude of medical and social welfare activities in the national capital.
  • BJP’s Bihar unit flagged off the Chalo Jeete Hain rath campaign from Patna to raise awareness among people about the achievements of the NDA government. A total of 243 specially decorated raths have been launched, each representing one assembly constituency.
