Nandita Mahtani and Vikram Chatwal are friends?

Sunjay Kapur’s ex-wife Nandita Mahtani and Priya Sachdev Kapur’s ex-husband Vikram Chatwal are friends? Here’s what their Instagram reveals

Sunjay Kapur, the businessman and former husband of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, passed away earlier this year in June. Weeks after his demise, his reportedly Rs 30,000 crore fortune has become the centre of a legal dispute. Karisma Kapoor, on behalf of her children Samairaa and Kiaan, has approached the Delhi High Court, claiming that Priya Sachdev Kapur, Sunjay’s third wife, tried to manipulate their father’s will. The case has stirred a lot of attention and speculation.

Priya Sachdev’s first husband Vikram Chatwal

Amidst the dispute, another name has started doing the rounds: Vikram Chatwal. Vikram is Priya Sachdev Kapur’s first husband. Priya married Vikram in 2006 amid a gala 10 day affair in India. The couple had a daughter, Safira, in 2007, but eventually got divorced in 2011.

Are Nandita Mahtani and Vikram Chatwal friends?

Interestingly, Vikram Chatwal seems to be good friends with Nandita Mahtani, who was Sunjay Kapur’s first wife. Nandita, a well-known Indian fashion designer and a known face in Bollywood circles, was married to Sunjay from 1996 to 2000.A look at an unverified Instagram account of Vikram, which has just over 7.5K followers, shows that it follows Priya Kapur’s Instagram account. But interestingly, he also follows Nandita Mahtani’s verified account, and even she follows back.

Shared social media posts suggest friendly bond

Vikram has also shared posts featuring Nandita. One post from March 2020 shows Nandita with Malaika and Amrita Arora alongside two other ladies, captioned, “Indian Beauties at Arvind Dubash’s 50th..” Apart from this, another post from the same month shows Vikram and Nandita hanging out with a few friends, captioned: “Monday Nights at Bodega Negra NYC…..” Given that Nandita is a celebrity stylist and Vikram has worked in modelling and films, it is natural they would be friends. But with Sunjay and Priya in the mix, the connection certainly adds an interesting angle.
