Erika Kirk, the widow of assassinated conservative activist and US President Donald Trump’s ally, Charlie Kirk, shared heart-wrenching photos and videos of her weeping over her slain husband’s open casket on Instagram on Saturday (local time).

In an obituary for her slain husband, Erika shared a series of pictures and videos from the final goodbye, in which she can be seen crying and rubbing, kissing, and holding Charlie’s hand for the one last time.

She can be heard repeatedly whispering “I love you” as she kisses Kirk’s hand. “I love you, I love you, I know, I miss you so much,” the grieving widow told her slain husband as he lay in a casket.

One photograph showed Erika, dressed all in black, hunched over her husband’s open casket, while another shows her holding his band. Photographs also showed her with US Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance, then all three standing in line while Kirk’s casket is loaded onto an aircraft.

A final video showed military personnel marching to collect the casket to load onto the aircraft while a bagpiper plays in the background.

“The world is evil,” the mom of two wrote in the post caption.

“The sound of this widow weeping echos throughout this world like a battle cry. I have no idea what any of this means. But baby I know you do and so does our Lord,” she continued.

Warning Charlie’s assassin, without naming the accused, and the world at large, Erika added, “They have no idea what they just ignited within this wife. If they thought my husband’s mission was big now..you have no idea. You. All of you. Will never. Ever. Forget my husband, Charlie. I’ll make sure of it.”

Wishing peace, Erika added, “Rest in the arms of our Lord baby as he blankets you with the words I know your heart always strived to hear,”well done My good and faithful servant.”

Earlier on Friday, Erika Kirk also spoke during a live event on the official Turning Point USA X account in which, referring to Charlie Kirk, she said, “He was the perfect father; he was the perfect husband.”

Charlie Kirk Shot Dead

Charlie Kirk was shot dead on Wednesday while addressing an open debate at Utah Valley University. The killing, captured on video, was carried out when a large crowd had gathered under a canopy marked with one of Kirk’s trademark slogans, “Prove Me Wrong.”

Trump strongly condemned his assassination and called the murderer “a total animal”. He had earlier described the killing as a “dark moment for America.”

Meanwhile, the suspected assassin, identified as 22-year-old Utah resident Tyler Robinson, has been taken into custody by the FBI.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed Robinson’s identity during a press conference on Friday, alongside FBI Director Kash Patel and other officials.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Erika, and two children.

As a tribute to Kirk, Trump ordered American flags to be flown at half-mast until September 14 across federal buildings, military posts, naval stations, and US embassies worldwide.
