The latest online dispute began after Candace Owens responded to arrangements for an upcoming debate. In her post, she wrote:”Sure you can get a clarification:Yes, next Friday would work with me.Yes, you can bring your cameraman if he makes you feel better. So you are now approved to bring four members of your team, plus a cameraman, plus I have just approved your moderator. (For clarity, this makes your team bigger than my own, and I am fine with that).No, you don’t get to now add in this weird stipulation regarding a “one hour cross examination”. You have been requesting a debate since May. We will debate the Tyler Robinson case and the evidence which you claim is overwhelming. And I said as long as it takes. No time limit. If you feel it can be done in 3 1/2 hours, then great. If you need longer then we can keep going.” Her message made it clear that she was willing to proceed with the debate next Friday while rejecting what she described as a new condition involving a lengthy cross examination. Owens also stressed that the discussion should focus on the Tyler Robinson case and the evidence surrounding it.Andrew Wilson quickly responded with a different interpretation of what the debate should involve.
Andrew Wilson says Candace Owens must defend her own claims
Wilson argued that the conversation should extend beyond the evidence in the Robinson case and examine Owens’ own public statements.His response read:”Then we have an agreement if you agree to have your claims cross examined. This debate isn’t specific to just the evidence against Robinson by the state. That’s improper framing. Its a debate ALSO about YOUR CLAIMS regarding this case and Kirks assassination. Do you agree you also need to support claims YOU HAVE MADE as well? If so then I agree to the terms. Also no personal attacks no ad homs. If one is made that person loses by default enforced by the moderator. Do we have terms? If so say so and we will book it for friday.”The exchange quickly gained traction after the X account Cinema Shogun weighed in with a strongly worded reaction.The post stated:”BOOM 💥Candace Owens immediately CLOCKED ⏰ by Andrew Wilson‼️The debate hasn’t even started yet and Candace is already trying to run away from defending her own claims and accusations.I’m sure Andrew already saw this coming from a mile away after his debate with Stew Peters.
