Volkswagen India on Wednesday launched the limited-edition Virtus Anniversary Edition to mark four years of the premium sedan in the Indian market. Based on the Virtus GT Plus Sport variant, the special edition is priced at ₹19.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Anniversary Edition introduces a new Avocado Pearl exterior colour, paired with a contrasting black roof and black alloy wheels, giving the sedan a more distinctive appearance.
The Virtus GT Plus Sport continues to be powered by a 1.5-litre TSI EVO turbo-petrol engine producing 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
New colour, premium features
The special edition retains the features offered on the GT Plus Sport variant, including a 20.32 cm Digital Cockpit, electric sunroof, Laser Red ambient lighting, aluminium pedals, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror.
Volkswagen said the Virtus also comes with six airbags as standard, a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating and more than 40 safety features.
Customers can additionally opt for Volkswagen Genuine Accessories such as a 360-degree camera system, front parking sensors and puddle lamps, which are available for both the Virtus and Taigun through dealerships.
Celebrating four years of Virtus
Commenting on the launch, Nitin Kohli, Brand Director, Volkswagen India, said the Anniversary Edition celebrates the strong customer response the Virtus has received since its launch in 2022.
“Virtus has earned strong customer appreciation for its design, performance and German engineering. The Anniversary Edition celebrates that journey and the passion our customers have shown for the brand. With the exclusive Avocado Pearl colour, the Anniversary Edition of the Virtus enhances the desirability of this sedan,” he said.
The limited-volume Virtus Anniversary Edition is available across Volkswagen dealerships in India.
