Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) on Tuesday launched an Assured Buyback Programme for the Creta Electric, offering customers an assured buyback value of 60 per cent after up to three years or 45,000 km of ownership.

According to the company, the initiative is aimed at addressing concerns around resale value, one of the key factors influencing electric vehicle purchase decisions, while strengthening customer confidence in EV ownership.

“The next phase of electric vehicle adoption in India will be driven equally by advancements in vehicle technology and by greater customer confidence,” said Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO, Hyundai Motor India.

“Our Assured Buyback Program, offering 60 per cent assured buyback value, reflects our confidence in the product’s outstanding quality, reliability and long-term value,” he added.

The programme complements Hyundai’s broader EV strategy, which includes its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, expanding charging infrastructure and future EV product roadmap.

The company said the Creta Electric is available under the BaaS model at an introductory price starting from ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with battery EMI starting at ₹3.9 per kilometre.

The electric SUV is offered with two battery pack options—51.4 kWh with an ARAI-certified range of 510 km and a 42-kWh pack offering a certified range of 420 km. It also supports DC fast charging from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 39 minutes.

To strengthen charging infrastructure, Hyundai said its myHyundai app now provides access to more than 30,000 charging points across India. The automaker has already installed 183 DC fast chargers across 105 cities and plans to expand the network to 600 DC fast charging stations by 2030.
