More than two decades after its release, the film remains popular for its memorable performances, music and emotional storytelling. An old episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ brings back a funny exchange between filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Kareena Kapoor Khan about her performance in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. Recalling the moment, Karan referred to a funeral sequence from the film and joked that Kareena had become extremely emotional while shooting it. According to him, she cried throughout the scene. Kareena then asked him which character’s funeral the sequence was depicting. After Karan reminded her that it was Amitabh Bachchan’s mother’s character, Kareena laughed at herself and admitted, “I think I overacted.” The resurfaced chat show clip has once again reminded audiences of Kareena’s memorable portrayal of Poo in the family drama movie.
