Tom Holland has added yet another page to the box office history books with his latest release ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ swinging off to a blockbuster start at ticket windows. The latest Marvel superhero film, stormed to an estimated USD 927 million worldwide opening weekend, making it the second-biggest global opening in box office history, just behind ‘Avengers: Endgame’.The British actor has officially become the first actor in cinema history to star in the four biggest global box office openings of all time.

According to worldwide box office figures, Holland has now starred in top highest box office openings of all time:Avengers: Endgame (2019) – USD 1.223 billionSpider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) – USD 927 millionAvengers: Infinity War (2018) – USD 640.5 millionSpider-Man: No Way Home (2021) – USD 600.5 millionWith ‘Brand New Day’ outperforming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, Holland has become the only actor to appear in all four films occupying the top spots.It remains to be seen if he can increase that record with his rumoured turns in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’.

Holland first joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peter Parker in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ before going on to lead his stand-alone ‘Spider-Man’ franchise. Over the past decade, the actor has played the superhero seven times in films like – ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will be continuing its phenomenal run worldwide and is expected to comfortably cross the USD 1 billion mark and aim to cross USD 2 billion at the box office.
