‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ eyes Rs 250 crore net; beats Endgame

'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' eyes Rs 250 crore net in India; beats 'Avengers: Endgame' and Tom Holland's other MCU films

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ broke the box-office records by previous Marvel films.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, is on a generational theatrical run, transcending the box office records set by preceding Marvel films. Before the end of its debut weekend in India, the film broke several box office records. The Destin Daniel Cretton-directed film surpassed not only Holland’s previous superhero films in the franchise, but also the collection of the iconic and unbreakable ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Here’s a closer look at the day-wise collections of Marvel multiverse films. Tom Holland’s superhero franchise films include ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ (2017), ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ (2019), ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ (2021), and ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ (2026). The recently released film has been by far the most successful at the box office, amassing large numbers of fans to witness the next chapter of Peter Parker after Doctor Strange’s spell. In just four days, the film earned over Rs 250 crore, according to Sacnilk. Aside from Holland-led films, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019) was believed to be the top-tier film that was difficult to transcend at the box office (and many Hollywood films tried but could not succeed). The film leapt the mark with ease, and continues to draw audiences globally.
