Raghav on reports of playing young antagonist in SRK’s King

Raghav Juyal breaks silence on reports of playing young antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan's 'King', teases a 'different' look in the film: 'This is completely false'

Raghav Juyal has denied rumours of playing a young antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’, calling reports false and revealing the film has a unique plot and shooting style. Earlier reports claimed he’d play Jackie Shroff’s son, battling a younger SRK. Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘King’ releases December 24, 2026.

Among the year’s most highly anticipated releases is ‘King’, an action film headlined by Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan, supported by a star-studded cast featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat and others. Actor Raghav Juyal, currently seen in ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’, is also part of the project. While speculation suggested he would play the younger antagonist in ‘King’, Juyal has now put those rumours to rest. He revealed that the film follows an entirely different storyline and is being shot in a unique way.

Raghav Juyal calls antagonist rumours “completely false”

When quizzed on the speculation about playing a villain in ‘King’ during a recent interview with Movie Talkies, Raghav said, “Yeh biljul, sarasar jhoot bol rahe hai. Kyunki, aisa kuch nahi hai. It’s a very different thing. It’s a very different story and a very unique plot. Woh jab film dekhenge aap, tabhi aapko uska ilm hoga ki kya hai woh kya nahi (This is absolutely, completely false. Nothing like that is true. It is a very different thing, a very different story, and a very unique plot. You will only understand what it is and what it isn’t when you watch the film).”

What the antagonist rumours claimed

Earlier reports claimed that Raghav would take on a major antagonist role in ‘King’. Speculation suggested he would portray the son of Jackie Shroff’s character and go head-to-head with a younger version of SRK’s character, positioning him as one of the film’s central villains.

Raghav Juyal on his unique look and role in the film

Speaking further about the film, the actor added, “It’s a very unique film. The way they are taking the shots. Siddharth (Anand) sir jo karrahe hai isme, it’s a very different thing. Mera look bhi, jaise har film mein alag hota hai, isme bhi bilkul different hai (What Siddharth Anand sir is doing with this film is very different. Even my look, which is different in every film, is completely different in this one as well).”

About ‘King’

‘King’ is directed by Siddharth Anand, marking his reunion with Shah Rukh Khan after Pathaan. Besides SRK, Suhana Khan and Deepika Padukone, the film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi and Rani Mukerji in key roles. The action thriller is set to hit theatres on December 24, 2026. Go to Source
