CM Vijay mobbed by massive crowd during Chennai Metro visit as fans express unstoppable excitement post 'Jana Nayagan' release

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay was once again seen experiencing his incredible fan power when he appeared in public in Chennai. What should have been a routine visit turned into a massive gathering as hundreds of fans rushed to see him. Footage from the Metro stations has gone viral with excited fans cheering, waving and trying to catch a glimpse of Vijay. The star-turned-politician made his way through the station to eager children, families and commuters.

Huge crowd surrounds Vijay as fans gather for a glimpse

The biggest talking point from the visit was the overwhelming response Vijay received wherever he went. Fans crowded the stations and swarmed around the actor on the Chennai Metro, with many raising slogans and greeting him with loud cheers. The swelling crowd had to be carefully managed by the security personnel as people tried to inch closer to Vijay while several others captured the moment on their mobile phones. Even amid the rush, Vijay acknowledged the crowd with smiles and waves. He also interacted briefly with some passengers during the journey. The videos have now gone viral on social media, with fans describing it as yet another example of Vijay’s unmatched popularity.

Public appearance creates a social media frenzy

Fans were sharing videos from different Metro stations, with clips and photographs going viral across platforms soon after they were uploaded online. Many compared the atmosphere to celebrations during Vijay’s film releases and said the excitement around him hasn’t changed even after he entered politics. The warm reception also showed the emotional connect he continues to have with people of all age groups as supporters turned up in droves just to see him for a few seconds.

‘Jana Nayagan’ continues its successful box office run

Even as Vijay focuses on his role as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, his farewell film ‘Jana Nayagan’ continues to perform strongly at the box office. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film features Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Narain, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. The action drama has emerged as one of the biggest Tamil releases of the year, collecting impressive numbers both in India and overseas. The huge crowds during Vijay’s public appearances and the huge theatrical performance yet again reflect the phenomenal fan following he continues to enjoy across the state.
