Sivakarthikeyan’s latest release ‘Madharasi’, directed by AR Murugadoss, has been performing well at the box office since its release. The action-packed film opened with a strong start and quickly gained attention among other big releases. However, after six days, the movie is yet to touch the Rs 50 crore mark in India.

Day 6 collection sees sharp drop

As per early estimates by Sacnilk, ‘Madharasi’ earned around Rs 2.25 crore net in India on its sixth day across all languages. The film has clearly slowed down during weekdays. On Wednesday, 10 September 2025, the Tamil occupancy stood at 17.99%. Morning shows recorded 14.98%, afternoon shows 18.42%, evening shows 17.54%, while night shows picked up slightly at 21.01%.

Strong opening gave Sivakarthikeyan’s film a boost

‘Madharasi’ kicked off with Rs 13.65 crore on Friday, making it one of the best openings in Sivakarthikeyan’s career. Saturday and Sunday kept the momentum alive, with collections of Rs 12.10 crore and Rs 11.40 crore respectively. After a solid weekend, the real test began on Monday. The film witnessed a sharp fall with Rs 4.15 crore, followed by another dip on Tuesday at Rs 3.2 crore. The trend continued on Wednesday with earnings of Rs 2.25 crore.

The plot follows a police officer on a risky mission to stop a gang from smuggling illegal weapons into Tamil Nadu.
