Tamil romantic drama ‘Chennai Love Story’ is continuing its run in theatres. After a good start at the box office, the film saw another drop on its first Tuesday and recorded its lowest daily collection so far. Even with the weekday slowdown, the film is maintaining a steady run on the big screens.
‘Chennai Love Story’ day 5 numbers
According to Sacnilk, the film collected an estimated Rs 2.80 crore net in India on Day 5, marking a 15.2% decline from its Rs 3.30 crore net collection on Monday. The film was screened across 1,801 shows on Tuesday. With the latest earnings, its total India net collection has reached Rs 23.30 crore, while the India gross collection stands at Rs 26.73 crore.In overseas markets, the film added Rs 50 lakhs gross on Day 5, taking its international total to Rs 6 crore gross. As a result, the film’s worldwide gross collection has climbed to Rs 32.73 crore.
Telugu version collections
The Telugu version recorded an overall occupancy of 38.20% on Tuesday. Night shows witnessed the strongest response with 44.85% occupancy, followed by afternoon shows at 38.92%. Morning shows registered 17.62%, while evening shows recorded 30.31% occupancy. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the biggest contributors on day 5 with Rs 2.75 crore gross. Karnataka followed with Rs 35 lakhs, while Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 3 lakhs. The rest of India added Rs 6 lakhs, taking the film’s Day 4 India gross to Rs 3.19 crore.
