Namit Malhotra’s ambitious mythological epic ‘Ramayana’ is rewriting industry records even before its theatrical release. The film which is touted to have an estimated Rs 4,000 crore budget, with a USD 40 million marketing budget, has now locked in on a lurcative deal for its music rights. As per reports, the makers, were initially eyeing a landmark Rs 100 crore deal for the film’s global music rights. The amount covers the music of both parts of Ramayana.”Meanwhile, the makers have also announced a revised release date for the film’s trailer. It will now premiere worldwide on July 30 at 4:15 am IST, after postponing its initial release date of July 24. The trailer’s release was delayed after the film entered into a worldwide distribution agreement with Sony Pictures Entertainment.Announcing the new date on social media, the team wrote, “At the auspicious brahma muhurat, we welcome the dawn of Ramayana with our trailer on 30th July 2026, Thursday, at 4:15 am IST worldwide.”Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana.
