Security agencies have launched extensive search operations after suspected drones were reportedly spotted in the Nowshera and Samba sectors of Jammu and Kashmir during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. The sightings have prompted heightened vigilance along the border, especially as the annual Amarnath Yatra continues under enhanced security arrangements. According to initial reports, a suspicious drone was seen near Nandpur village in Samba district, while another was reportedly detected in the Tarkundi-Saz area of the Nowshera sector in Rajouri district. Following the sightings, police and security personnel initiated search operations in both locations to determine the origin and purpose of the suspected aerial objects. The incident comes just a day after the nation observed Kargil Vijay Diwas, commemorating the bravery and sacrifice of Indian armed forces during the 1999 Kargil conflict.
