The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has continued restrictions for the fourth consecutive day, shutting entry and exit at 18 metro stations until further orders amid the ongoing student protest. Major stations affected include Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, ITO, Supreme Court, Janpath, New Delhi, Lok Kalyan Marg, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhamba Road, Seva Teerth, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium and Jhandewalan. However, interchange facilities remain available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat. Delhi Traffic Police has also advised app-based cab services, food delivery, quick-commerce and logistics companies to limit operations in areas covered under Section 163 restrictions. The stations have been closed as a precautionary security measure, particularly across sensitive areas of Lutyens’ Delhi, amid concerns over possible disruptions linked to the student movement. Authorities have urged residents and commuters to plan their journeys accordingly.
