James Gunn reveals that Rick Devens from ‘Big Brother’ and ‘Survivor’ was supposed to be in the upcoming ‘Man of Tomorrow’ film; however, due to some unforeseeable reason, he was unable to come to the set for filming. (Instagram)

Fans have been waiting for news about the upcoming ‘Superman’ sequel, ‘Man of Tomorrow,’ starring David Corenswet. During one of his recent online posts, the film’s creator, James Gunn, let slip a minor detail about what fans could have expected from the film slip.

James Gunn reveals details about a cameo that was supposed to happen in ‘Man of Tomorrow’

James Gunn recently opened up about how a popular TV show host, reality TV star, and presenter was supposed to have a cameo in his upcoming DC film. However, the concept never came to fruition due to certain issues. Rick Devens, who is currently starring in ‘Big Brother ’ and had also previously appeared on ‘Survivor,’ was the casting choice for the brief and short role.Gunn took to Threads to share a video of Devens from one of the latest ‘Big Brother’ episodes, in which he was casting his vote for the first eviction of the latest season. Responding to the post, many fans and netizens alike had commented about whether Devens could be in the film or not.Gunn surprised everyone when he admitted that he was, in fact, going to get the reality TV star to play a cameo in the Superman film. He posted, “No because he’s on Big Brother! Otherwise he would have been,” when he replied to a fan’s comment about the matter. He further continued, “We do. He was gonna appear in the background of M,oT but he had to cancel (his awesome wife and kids still came). He couldn’t tell me why but told me I’d be excited. Obviously I was!”As for ‘Man of Tomorrow,’ lead stars David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult have already started filming for the superhero film. They were also spotted in public filming some of their scenes together in public. In the DC universe, the last film that followed the first Superman film was ‘Supergirl,’ which followed Kara Zor-El’s storyline. However, the film also had a brief cameo from Corenswet as well, interacting with Milly Alcock’s lead role in the film.
