Middle East: Iranian Ballistic Missiles Evade US Air Defenses, Strike Jordan Base

Iran carried out another missile attack targeting the US-operated Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, marking a further escalation in regional tensions. According to the report, videos purportedly from the scene show ballistic missiles striking military installations, resulting in powerful explosions at the airbase. The report further alleges that the attack exposed weaknesses in the US air defence system, claiming it failed to intercept the incoming missiles. It describes this as the second consecutive day of attacks on the base and states that visual evidence of the strike has emerged. However, these claims have not been independently verified. No official confirmation regarding the extent of damage, casualties, or the reported failure of air defence systems was provided in the report. If confirmed, the incident would represent another significant escalation in the ongoing US–Iran confrontation, adding to growing concerns over regional stability, military security, and the risk of a broader conflict across the Middle East.
