US-Iran Conflict: US Launches Airstrikes on Iran, Trump Announces Military Operation

The United States has reportedly launched a major military operation against Iran, marking a significant escalation in tensions between the two countries. According to the report, US President Donald Trump announced that American airstrikes on Iranian targets had begun. The strikes allegedly targeted Bandar Abbas and Sirik, with US fighter aircraft carrying out the operation around 3:30 a.m. IST. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) reportedly confirmed the attacks, stating that the objective was to weaken Iran’s military capabilities in the Strait of Hormuz and respond to the alleged attack on American troops in Jordan by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The report further states that President Trump warned of severe consequences for Iran, saying the United States would open the “gates of hell” if necessary. If confirmed, the operation represents a major escalation in the US–Iran conflict and could have significant implications for regional security, global energy markets, and international diplomatic efforts.
