Prince Harry had more security than he expected

Prince Harry offered more security during UK visit than before: Move comes after losing a contract battle for security

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, along with their family were offered a lot more security than expected despite the ongoing issues with their clearence after surrendering their royal duries.

While security for Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children was a main concern surrounding their UK visit, they still received relatively more security than expected. For over a year, the Prince had been fighting court cases and making requests to ensure that his family could come safely visit the UK after losing their security clearance due to surrendering their royal duties. However, according to recent reports, the family still travelled to the UK despite the clearance issues and received much more security than expected.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children provided with more security than expected

Earlier on, before his visit, the Prince requested an updated security package for him and his family; however, the Home Office and the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures rejected the claim. The Daily Mail reported that the Prince, along with his family, had a significantly improved security detail, compared to what had been suggested. This also comes after Prince Harry’s privately hired detail provided proof of six terrorist plots against him; however, he was still not granted more security. However, the couple still decided to visit the UK for the Invictus Games events and to meet with King Charles and Queen Camila. This was also the first time Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie met their great-grandparents.A statement from the report read, “He would have liked full security from the start, but that was not on the table; what was on the table was a considerable upping of what was there previously. For that reason, the visit was very much better, and everything is in a better place. It is still baby steps, but there is reason to hope going forward.”Richard Fitzwilliams, a famed royal commentator, told GB News and shared that as of right now nothing is set in stone, and that things can change for Prince Harry at any moment. Another statement from him read, “The security situation could change,” he explained. “There are threats; he has a stalker, we know. The security issues are very much at the forefront of the moment. The situation is unsatisfactorily unresolved. I think people thought, and I thought, that he’d get it. He hasn’t, and so far still hasn’t, but that doesn’t mean he won’t in the future at some time because security is very much in the news at the moment, so it might happen.”During his visit to the UK with his family, Prince Harry also took his family to his mother, Princess Diana’s grave. However, after this, reports from RadarOnline suggested this may have also caused more rifts between the two brothers. A statement from the same source read, “There was a clear awareness that elements of the visit could be captured for a future project like a Netflix documentary from Harry, or social media posts, which has unsettled members of the family.” Another one shared, “The intention could well be to include deeply personal material in a documentary tied to the anniversary next year.”As of right now, there seems to be no scope for a reconciliation between Prince Harry and Prince William.
