The bromance the internet has been rooting for may finally be taking off! Erling Haaland has finally responded to Tom Holland’s dinner invitation.Days after ‘The Odyssey’ star revealed that the Norwegian striker had left his DM on ‘read’, Haaland has officially accepted the offer. Taking to the comments section, the footballer wrote, “Dinner invitation accepted @tomholland2013. A little late. Just name the place!”The internet found itself hooked on to the Holland and Haaland bromance after the actor got candid about his decision to “shoot his shot” by sending the football star a direct message inviting him out for dinner. However, the message initially went unanswered.

‘Not even a response’: Holland opens up on Jimmy Fallon

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, Holland shared, “I was like, ‘I’ll text him, I’ll take him for dinner.'” He went on to add, “Not even a response. Not an excuse, not, ‘I’m busy tonight, I’m playing football.’ Nada.””I just thought I’d shoot my shot, sent him a text. I never imagined I’d talk about it on live television, but here we are,” he quipped.

Haaland explains why he ignored Holland’s message

After Holland’s interview went viral, Haaland addressed the incident during an appearance on the Norwegian version of ‘The Assembly’. The striker admitted he simply didn’t know who had messaged him. He said, “This is a bit embarrassing, to be completely honest. We were in Monaco at the Formula 1, and then I got a message. I don’t watch movies much, so I have no idea who people are.”The footballer explained that because he didn’t know Holland, he chose not to reply. “There was one asking if we could go out for dinner, but I’d never seen him, so I didn’t bother to answer. I didn’t want to answer an unknown person.”

Tom Holland’s work slate

Holland is currently promoting two of his upcoming films, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ and Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, alongside his wife and co-star Zendaya. With two back-to-back film releases set for July, the actor will have some time on hand before his rumoured return to screens in the upcoming superhero film ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. However, it must be noted that there is no official confirmation that the actor will make a special appearance in the upcoming film. Go to Source
