Arshad Warsi reveals how he agreed to do 'King' and Aryan Khan's 'Ba***ds Of Bollywood': 'Woh kahaniyan suna raha tha..'

Actor Arshad Warsi has a busy year ahead with multiple high-profile releases lined up. After featuring in ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ and Rajkumar Hirani’s debut web series ‘Pritam And Pedro’, he is now preparing for the release of ‘Dhamaal 4’. The actor will also be seen sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in the much-awaited film ‘King’, which is set to arrive in theatres in December 2026.While promoting ‘Dhamaal 4’, Arshad spoke about joining ‘King’ and revealed why turning down an offer from Shah Rukh Khan was never something he considered.Arshad was accompanied by his ‘Dhamaal 4’ co-star Jaaved Jaaferi during this chat, as he reflected on his close relationship with Shah Rukh and the Khan family. He admitted that saying no to the superstar simply wasn’t possible.“Cannot say no to Shah Rukh Khan. You cannot say no to. Even when Aryan called up. I say what do you want me to do? Gafoor,” Arshad said in an interview with Mashable India. The actor also looked back at how he became part of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, ‘The Ba**ds Of Bollywood’, which premiered on Netflix. He said Aryan had started narrating the script, but he stopped him before he could continue. “Woh kahaniyan suna raha tha. Maine bola Aryan mujhe kuch nahi sunna. Jab do din tumko jo mujhse karana hai karao. (He was telling stories. I said, ‘Aryan, I don’t want to hear anything. Whatever you want me to do for those two days, make me do it.) I am doing it because I love your dad, I love you, that’s it. I love your family’),” he added. Before audiences watch him in ‘King’, Arshad will reunite with the ‘Dhamaal’ gang in the fourth instalment of the comedy franchise. Directed by Indra Kumar, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra and Jaaved Jaaferi in leading roles. The ensemble cast also includes Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar and Ravi Kishan. The film promises to retain the franchise’s signature blend of chaos, comedy and ensemble madness. ‘Dhamaal 4’ is scheduled to release in cinemas on July 10, 2026.
