Coastal areas are witnessing rough sea conditions with high tide warnings, prompting authorities to restrict movement near the shoreline. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has urged citizens to remain indoors unless absolutely necessary, while emergency teams including NDRF units remain on standby. Despite warnings, some residents were seen stepping out to experience the weather, even as risks from falling trees and flooding persist. Rail and road networks are under pressure due to water accumulation in low-lying zones. Officials have enhanced monitoring using CCTV systems and deployed pumps for drainage, but continued rainfall is expected to maintain challenging conditions throughout the day.
