The video went viral for his polite conduct. He questioned the process before shaking hands with the team. Singh was last seen in the 2025 film Bayaan.

Chandrachur Singh found himself at the centre of an unexpected moment during a demolition drive in Gurugram’s DLF area when he stepped out of his house to talk to officials after a bulldozer demolished a ramp outside his home. A video of the conversation has since gone viral, with many people praising how calm and polite it was. The drive was carried out by the Town and Country Planning Department on Friday to remove illegal constructions in the area. Several structures were demolished for breaking building rules, including the ramp outside Singh’s house.

Why the ramp outside Chandrachur Singh’s home was demolished

According to Dainik Bhaskar, the anti-encroachment drive targeted unauthorised structures across the DLF neighbourhood, with officials stating that the ramp outside the actor’s home had been built without obtaining the necessary approvals.

Chandrachur Singh’s conversation with officials

While the demolition was in progress, the actor stepped out to speak with the officials on site. He inquired whether any action would be taken inside his home and mentioned that his father had bought the property back in 1991. He also raised questions about the ramp’s removal, though he stayed composed and polite throughout. Singh went on to ask whether the demolition process was being officially recorded and sought the name of the officer overseeing the operation. District Town Planner Amit Madhaulia identified himself, after which Singh shook hands with him and the rest of the team, bringing the interaction to a friendly close.

On the work front, Chandrachur Singh was most recently seen in ‘Bayaan’, a 2025 Hindi police procedural helmed by Bikas Ranjan Mishra.
