Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘Peddi’ directed by Buchi Babu Sana, was a blockbuster after its theatrical release on June 4. As the film completes its run on the big screens, its streaming platform has announced it will be releasing on the digital space soon.

‘Peddi’ OTT release date

‘Peddi’ will begin streaming on streaming giant Netflix. The platform took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the film’s poster and wrote, “Aata marocchu kaani, monagadu mathram maradu,” which in English means, “The game may change, but the hero/real man remains the same.”The team also announced that it will begin streaming on July 9 and will be available to watch in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. They also teased that the film will be released on the same platform in Hindi soon.

Plot of ‘Peddi’

Speaking about the film, it tells the story of a cricketer who plays for any team that is ready to pay him. His life changes after meeting Appalasuri, a villager who has spent many years trying to get a railway halt and official recognition for their village. Using his elite sporting skills, under the guidance of his Pehelwaani mentor Gournaidu, he grows from a player who only wants money into a dedicated sportsman ready to make sacrifices for others.

Cast of ‘Peddi’

Apart from the leading pair the film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Boman Irani, Ravi Kishan, Viji Chandrasekhar, Rajatava Dutta, Satya, John Vijay, Ajay Ghosh and several others in important roles.The film ran in theaters for over a month and saw a worldwide collection of Rs 338.98 crore according to trade analyst Sacnilk. In India it saw Rs 242. 03Cr in net collections across 120,447 shows.On the work front, Ram Charan will next work with Sukumar in the upcoming film tentatively titled ‘RC17’. Meanwhile Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for the release of her next project, ‘Lag Jaa Gale’.
