'Dhamaal 4' bags U/A 13+ certificate with zero scene cuts as CBFC orders 9 edits to hand gestures and dialogues

Dhamaal 4 received a U/A 13+ certificate from CBFC after modifying “obscene” hand gestures in two places and words in seven, with no scenes cut. Directed by Indra Kumar, the film reunites Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and others, alongside new cast members. It releases in cinemas on July 10.

Following the likes of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’, ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, and ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, it’s now Dhamaal 4’s turn to test its fortunes at the box office. The makers have already wrapped up the censor process well ahead of schedule.

Two scenes involving “obscene” hand gestures were altered and replaced, while “obscene” words were asked to be changed in seven other instances. Notably, no scenes were removed from the film entirely. Following these edits, the makers received the censor certificate on July 2. As per the certificate, the film runs for 143 minutes, or 2 hours and 23 minutes.
