Aamir Khan, Gauri won’t have a reception, just an intimate wedding on July 5

Aamir Khan, Gauri Spratt will not host reception, will just have an intimate wedding on July 5 at his Bandra house: Report

Aamir Khan is set to marry girlfriend Gauri Spratt on July 5, marking his third wedding. Unlike the grand celebrations he hosted for the 25th anniversary of Aamir Khan Productions, which was launched with Ashutosh Gowariker’s acclaimed 2001 film ‘Lagaan’, the actor has opted for a private and understated ceremony this time.Aamir and Gauri will register their marriage at the actor’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The couple is expected to hold a small wedding ceremony during the first half of the day on July 5, attended only by immediate family members and a close circle of friends, as reported by Screen. The ceremony is expected to be especially meaningful as all four children from Aamir and Gauri’s previous marriages will reportedly play a role in the celebrations. These include Aamir’s children, actor Junaid Khan and entrepreneur Ira Khan, from his first marriage to Reena Dutta, his son Azad from his marriage to filmmaker Kiran Rao, and Gauri’s son from her previous marriage.Aamir and Gauri first crossed paths in Bengaluru through the actor’s cousin, Nuzhat Khan. After dating for nearly a year, Aamir introduced Gauri to the media as his partner ahead of his 60th birthday celebrations in March last year. The couple has since been living together at his Bandra home.Last month, Aamir confirmed that he would be marrying Gauri on July 5.Before joining Aamir in Mumbai, Gauri worked with a leading haircare brand in Bengaluru. She is now associated with Aamir Khan Productions and assists the actor with the production house’s work. When previously asked whether marriage was on the cards, Aamir had responded with his trademark humour, saying, “Iss umar mein shaadi karna mujhe shobha nahi deta (It doesn’t feel right to get married at my age),” before adding that he feels very “settled” with Gauri now.
