The SUV accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 3.3 seconds, reaches 200 kmph in 10.8 seconds, and has a top speed of 312 kmph.Lamborghini on Wednesday unveiled the Urus SE Performante, a high-performance derivative of its plug-in hybrid Super SUV, featuring an 812 hp hybrid powertrain, enhanced aerodynamics and new chassis technologies that the company says make it the fastest Super SUV in the world.
Powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with a permanent-magnet electric motor, the Urus SE Performante develops a combined output of 812 hp (596 kW) and 1,000 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Urus ever produced. The SUV accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 3.3 seconds, reaches 200 kmph in 10.8 seconds, and has a top speed of 312 kmph.
The company said the model achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 3 kg per hp, aided by extensive use of carbon-fibre components, including the bonnet, roof, wheel arches, side skirts and rear diffuser. Compared with the Urus SE, the Performante is 32 kg lighter, with a curb weight of 2,473 kg.
Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, said, “Forty years ago, Lamborghini created the concept of the Super SUV with the legendary LM002. Today, with Urus SE Performante, we are taking the concept of the Super SUV to its peak. This model represents the highest level of performance, driving precision and emotional engagement ever achieved by Urus, while preserving the versatility and everyday usability that have established it as a benchmark in its segment,” Winkelmann said.
Key highlights
The SUV introduces Lamborghini’s new AURA dual-chamber air suspension system, which the company says reduces body roll by 55 per cent during spirited driving and cuts vibrations by 25 per cent compared with the previous Urus Performante. It also features a new 6D sensor, an Integrated Power Brake (IPB) system, and predictive vehicle dynamics controls to improve braking, stability, and handling.
Aerodynamic changes include a redesigned carbon-fibre bonnet with S-Duct air intakes, larger front air intakes, a new rear spoiler and an enlarged diffuser. According to Lamborghini, the updates reduce aerodynamic drag by 3 per cent, increase downforce by 16 per cent compared with the previous Urus Performante, and improve brake cooling efficiency by 8 per cent.
The plug-in hybrid SUV is equipped with a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, enabling an all-electric driving range of more than 60 km and an electric-only top speed exceeding 130 kmph. A new Rally driving mode joins Strada, Sport, Corsa, and EV modes, allowing the SUV to tackle loose surfaces while retaining its on-road performance.
Inside, the Urus SE Performante features a redesigned cabin with sustainable CorsaTex by Dinamica upholstery, dual 12.3-inch digital displays, a new Lamborghini Infotainment System interface and a carbon-fibre steering wheel. A lightweight titanium Akrapovič exhaust system is also standard, reducing weight by over 10 kg while delivering a more pronounced exhaust note.
