Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj launched a sharp attack on Union Home Minister Amit Shah, alleging that despite repeatedly invoking Lord Ram and the Ram Temple in speeches and election campaigns, Shah has not visited the Ram Temple in Ayodhya since its inauguration. Bharadwaj claimed he verified the matter through journalists and publicly available records before raising five questions, including why Shah had not visited the temple and whether he considers Lord Ram a deity. Referring to the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case, he argued that genuine devotees would never steal offerings made before God. Bharadwaj accused the BJP of using religion solely for electoral gains while ignoring spiritual commitment. He also asserted that the Aam Aadmi Party genuinely works for Sanatan values through initiatives such as pilgrimage schemes, temple restoration, schools, hospitals and welfare programmes. Criticising the ongoing investigation into the alleged donation theft, he described the SIT probe as ineffective and claimed that influential individuals were being protected while lower-level accused were being targeted.
