Kunal Kemmu on ‘Golmaal 5’, ‘Madgaon Express 2’ and life as ‘The Alliance’ host: ‘I am still acting guys’

Actor Kunal Kemmu, currently hosting the reality series ‘The Alliance’, recently opened up about his new television venture while also sharing exciting updates on two much-awaited projects, ‘Golmaal 5’ and ‘Madgaon Express 2’.

Kunal Kemmu talks about the ‘Golmaal 5’ shoot

Following a recent picture shared by the ‘Golmaal’ team that got fans buzzing, Kunal Kemmu confirmed that shooting for the franchise’s next instalment is actively underway. Reuniting with his co-stars, he said, has brought back a wave of nostalgia. In an interview with the India Today, he shared, “We are still making that film. We have been shooting for it. It’s been great fun to meet all of them and just go back to the characters that we played 7-8 years ago and even before that. As the teaser said, they have been doing this for 20 years; I joined in the third one, but it’s great fun being on that set.”The actor further stated, “And I really hope that it kind of translates into something that people also enjoy as much because I know that’s probably one of the most loved franchises in the Hindi film industry. All of us hope that it kind of delivers to fans’ standards.”Kunal became part of the franchise with ‘Golmaal 3’ in 2010 and has continued to be a key member of the film series since then.

‘Madgaon Express 2’ update

During the conversation, Kunal also had good news for fans eagerly awaiting a follow-up to his 2024 directorial debut, ‘Madgaon Express’. Confirming that work on the sequel has already begun, he said, “I am aware of fans demanding it. And yes, it is in the works. I have actually written it. But there’s time.”

Kunal Kemmu reaffirms his passion for acting

Addressing questions about his acting career after stepping into direction, Kunal said, “I think initially there were some people who asked me, ‘Will you be acting now?’ I said, of course, that’s my first love, and I will always do that. But I think now they know, and I did something like ‘Single Papa’ after ‘Madgaon Express’, and then I have also cast myself in my next film ‘Vibe’. Now I am doing this (‘Alliance’), so yes, and I think if the message is not there, I am just putting it out there – ‘I am still acting guys’!” Go to Source
