Ayodhya Donation Theft Probe: RMO Arjun Dev Transferred After 17 Years as SIT Examines His Role in Ayodhya Donation Theft Case

The investigation into the alleged donation theft at the Ayodhya Ram Temple has taken a new turn with the transfer of Radio Maintenance Officer (RMO) Arjun Dev Singh, who had been posted in Ayodhya since 2009. He has now been transferred to Gorakhpur after serving at the temple complex for 17 years. According to sources, the SIT has raised questions about his role in its preliminary findings, noting that he was responsible for the temple’s wireless communication system, CCTV surveillance, and security of the donation counting room. The report also suggests that Arjun Dev was actively involved in several temple-related matters beyond his official responsibilities and allegedly maintained close ties with certain trust officials. Although the SIT has not formally held him responsible, investigators are examining whether lapses in monitoring contributed to the alleged thefts. Officials say repeated transfer orders for Arjun Dev had reportedly been cancelled over the years. His exact role and any further action will depend on the SIT’s final report, expected soon.
