The conflict between the United States and Iran has intensified significantly, raising fears of a wider regional war. According to US officials, American forces carried out airstrikes on multiple Iranian military installations after Iran allegedly attacked a commercial oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz with a suicide drone. The strikes reportedly targeted surveillance systems, communication networks, air-defense sites, and drone storage facilities. In response, Iran’s IRGC launched ballistic missiles and drones at eight US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, claiming it was retaliating against American aggression. With both countries exchanging direct military attacks, tensions across the Middle East have reached a critical level, increasing concerns over further escalation and regional instability.
