‘Widow’s Bay’ has slowly but surely managed to become a big hit amongst the masses since the release of its first episode. The supernatural series has created significant excitement amongst its fans as the show has quickly been renewed for a second season. While talking about featuring on the show, actor Kingston Rumi Southwick, who plays Evan Loftis, delved into some teaser details about what fans can expect in the future.

In conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor opened up about working on Katie Dippold’s series and what the show will have in store for its future season. Specifically, while talking about his character’s future, Southwick added: “I’m really excited for not only the mischief he gets into, but the levels that he can get to.”Along with this, he also shared that “This is a good way for me personally as an actor to ease myself into it. I think that for season two, there are so many more opportunities for Evan to be in a very crazy, funny situation.” He shared his excitement about the show’s comedic supernatural story and what the future will hold for fans.

The actor also praised the show for its concept, noting that comedy is a tough genre to approach these days. He added, “What Widow’s Bay did really well was it took those horror tropes and made [them] its own. It’s a very original idea.”He also shared that the show was “extremely fun” to work on and that he is truly happy to see so many people connecting to it and watching it with full zeal. “I remember reading it for the first time and being like, I love this,” he also quipped about his first reaction when he got the role and the script.

What happened in ‘Widow’s Bay’ season 1

The story revolves around Widow’s Bay, a fictional town that its new mayor, Tom Loftis, has been trying to turn into the next big ‘Martha’s Vineyard.’ However, when he ignores the residents’ warnings and proceeds with his actions, supernatural things start running amok because of an age-old curse that plagues the town.The season 1 finale revealed a crucial detail about the show’s main character, played by Matthew Rhys. Tom Loftis, it was revealed that he has a connection to the town’s founding father, the mysterious Richard Warren, who is also the one responsible for the curse that has been put on the town. Season 2 is said to explore more into this storyline and how the mayor is going to deal with everything, including his past, without letting it rip his family and the town in half. Go to Source
