On International Yoga Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in a large yoga session in Kolkata, interacting with participants and helping them correct their postures. During the event, yoga expert Kalpana demonstrated several beginner-friendly yoga poses and explained their health benefits. The session featured poses such as the beginner version of Ustrasana (Camel Pose), Child Pose, Vakrasana (Spinal Twist), and Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose). Experts highlighted how these asanas improve flexibility, posture, spinal health, and overall fitness. Bhujangasana was recommended for back pain, posture correction, and sciatica relief, while Vakrasana was noted for improving spinal mobility and supporting diabetic patients. The program emphasized the importance of proper warm-up exercises, breathing techniques, and regular yoga practice. Participants were encouraged to make yoga a daily habit to maintain physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle.
