NEET Re-Exam Today: Education Minister Urges Students to Remain Stress-Free

As over 22 lakh students prepare to appear for the NEET re-examination, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed confidence in the examination process and urged candidates to remain calm and focused. The re-exam is being conducted after the original May 3 test was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak. The minister said he has full faith in the National Testing Agency (NTA), state governments, district administrations, and students, expressing confidence that the examination will be conducted smoothly and transparently. Extensive security arrangements have been put in place across the country. In Delhi alone, 97 examination centres have been established with tight security, including deployment of police and paramilitary personnel. Special cooling zones with seating, drinking water, and refreshments have been arranged for parents accompanying students amid the summer heat. Strict guidelines have also been issued regarding prohibited items, including mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, pen drives, and heavy jewellery. Authorities have intensified inspections and monitoring to ensure a fair and incident-free examination process.
