A tragic accident occurred in Parbhani, Maharashtra, when a portion of a Hanuman temple assembly hall collapsed during ongoing construction work. The incident took place at the Yashwadi Devasthan Hanuman Temple, where a large number of devotees had gathered on Saturday. The collapsed structure trapped several people under the debris, leading to the death of seven devotees and leaving 32 others seriously injured. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and rescue operations were launched immediately after the collapse. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, while the injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed grief over the tragedy and announced an ex-gratia compensation of ₹5 lakh for the families of those who lost their lives in the accident.
