'Baaghi 4' box office collection day 4: Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, and Harnaaz Sandhu starrer witnesses a major drop on Monday, yet outshines Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Bengal Files’; mints over Rs 35 crore

This Friday, cinema lovers were treated to not just one but two mega releases – ‘Baaghi 4’ and ‘The Bengal Files.’ Coming from different genres —action thriller and political drama —the two big-screen releases offered variety. However, when it comes to box office numbers, the Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, and Harnaaz Sandhu-starrer ‘Baaghi 4’ has outperformed Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Bengal Files.’ This fourth installment of the ‘Baaghi’ franchise has a decent opening at the box office on Friday and, after its first weekend, has witnessed a major drop on Monday. Yet, the movie has been able to earn over Rs 35 crores in the domestic market.Here’s the detailed box office report of ‘Baaghi 4’.

‘Baaghi 4′ box office collection day 4 updated

The initial estimates at Sacnilk show that on Monday, ‘Baaghi 4’ made a business of around Rs 4.25 crore. This number comes after the decent Friday opening of Rs 12 crore and earnings of Rs 19.25 crore from the first weekend. The first Monday drop is an expected and inevitable speed bump that every movie goes through. With this, ‘Baaghi 4’ stands at Rs. 35.50 crores net collection in India.

‘Baaghi 4’ theatre occupancy

On September 8, i.e., its first Monday, the Hindi occupancy of ‘Baaghi 4’ fell from 27.08% to 15.56%. It was a slow start for the film in the morning shows, with just 7.59% occupancy. However, the numbers turned better with time, as the occupancy rate soared to 13.92% and 16.68% during the afternoon and evening shows, respectively. Thereafter, the night shows recorded the maximum occupancy of 24.05%.

‘Baaghi 4’ vs ‘The Bengal Files’

While ‘Baaghi 4’ is heading towards the Rs 40 crore mark in its first week, released on the same day, ‘The Bengal Files’ is yet to make double digits. The movie made over Rs 1 crore on its opening day, and during its first weekend, the film’s collection stayed around Rs 5 crore. On Monday, the film made Rs. 1.10 crore, and the tally stands at Rs. 7.85 crore.
