Vishal calls Vijay ‘SUPERSTAR’ after CM meeting

Vishal addresses Vijay as 'Darling CM'; 'SUPERSTAR' reference by fans sparks debate on social media

Actor-producer Vishal recently met with the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay, and later shared an emotional note about it on social media. While the meeting itself attracted a lot of attention, the use of one particular word in his post later became a talking point. In his post, Vishal addressed Vijay as “Darling CM Vijay” and “SUPERSTAR”. Netizens immediately began discussing the appropriate use of this title.

‘SUPERSTAR’ mention triggers debate among fans

In his post, Vishal wrote: “Dearest darling CM Vijay @CMOTamilnadu. The word ‘darling’ hasn’t changed, which I used to call u for the last so many years since I knew u from Loyola College. It all started when I got to know you as a budding star and then seeing u rise up the ladder as the SUPERSTAR, facing all odds and criticism and brushing it away with ya silence and success, and then moving on to become the Hon Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.” As soon as the word “SUPERSTAR” was mentioned, people became interested in it since the title is traditionally connected with Rajinikanth. Whereas some welcomed Vishal’s appreciation of Vijay’s struggle, others questioned the appropriateness of maintaining exclusivity on the topic.

Vishal says Vijay has remained the same person

Besides the issue surrounding the title, Vishal’s post indicated the great relationship that Vishal and Vijay have always enjoyed. According to him, Vijay has not changed in any way, even after becoming a Chief Minister. Vishal wrote that meeting Vijay felt just as warm as it did years ago and described the interaction as a memorable fanboy moment. Their friendship, which dates back to their Loyola College days, continues to be admired by fans.

Actor’s gesture wins praise beyond the controversy

Vishal’s gesture during the meeting also won appreciation online. Instead of offering the customary bouquet and shawl, he said the money was used to support the education of three underprivileged girl students in Tamil Nadu in Vijay’s name. The actor thanked the Chief Minister for accepting the gesture and wished him success in his tenure. Even as the “SUPERSTAR” debate continues, many social media users have praised Vishal’s charitable effort and positive message.
