'It is with a heavy heart...': Immigration firm of viral 'lawyer of miracles' shuts down in Seattle as clients face deporation

Viral immigration lawyer Alexandra Lozano shuts shop in Seattle amid fraud allegations as clients face deportations because of her fake claims in their Green Card applications.

Immigration attorney Alexandra Lozano called herself the “lawyer of miracles’ as her career took off and soared, as she claimed that she fixed cases that were impossible to win. The Seattle-based attorney, now being called a fraudster, lived a lavish life with her private jet with ‘Abogada’ (lawyer) written on it. Nine people from Washington filed a suit against Lozano, accusing her of misleading he clients and forcing them to make false statements to immigration authorities. The lawsuit said Lozano advised people to apply for immigration benefits when they didn’t qualify for them and to make inaccurate or deceptive statements to immigration officials. She also submitted documents with client signatures without their review. She filed Green Card applications with false information, charged exorbitant fees, initiated immigration processes she knew were doomed to fail, had staff memorize scripts to make deceptive promises, and devised legal strategies relying solely on a computer program without her or other attorneys at her firm reviewing the files. Some said they were facing deportation proceedings because of Lozano’s lies.In the wake of the complaint, Lozano resigned her law license to avoid disciplinary action but now her firm has also announced they are shutting down.

Full statement of the firm

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our law firm will be closing its doors and will no longer be providing legal representation. As many of you know, our firm has faced increasing challenges and unjust scrutiny in recent years. After careful consideration, we have determined that closing the firm is the best course of action. This decision was not made lightly. Our clients have always been at the center of everything we do, and making this announcement is one of the most difficult moments in our firm’s history. For Alexandra, our Founder and former lead attorney, every client was like a member of her family and she cared deeply for each and every case. It is heartbreaking for her and the team that we have had to take this drastic step.”
