Maserati said its regional expansion strategy is focused on working with selected partners in key markets.Italian luxury carmaker Maserati has appointed Navnit Group as its dealer partner for Western and Central India as it expands its retail presence in the country.
The appointment gives Navnit Maserati responsibility for sales and aftersales operations across the region, following the introduction of retail partners in Delhi and Bengaluru last year. Maserati said the transition is intended to ensure continuity of support for existing and future customers.
The move comes as India’s automotive market continues to witness demand for premium vehicles. Maserati said its regional expansion strategy is focused on working with selected partners in key markets.
Mumbai facility planned
Navnit Maserati will establish a facility in Mumbai comprising a showroom and workshop aligned with Maserati’s global retail and service standards. The site will offer the company’s vehicle range in India along with manufacturer-approved servicing, genuine spare parts and customer support.
The facility will also include customer consultation lounges and an area dedicated to the Fuoriserie customisation programme.
“India represents a highly important growth opportunity for Maserati, driven by an increasingly discerning luxury clientele that expects not only extraordinary automobiles, but also an ownership experience defined by exclusivity, attention, and genuine customer centricity,” said Maher Abdalla, Managing Director, Maserati Middle East Africa, India and Turkey.
Network expansion strategy
Abdalla said the addition of Navnit Group in Mumbai builds on the company’s expansion efforts over the past year.
“Over the past year, we have expanded our network with partners in Delhi and Bangalore, and the addition of Navnit Group in Mumbai marks another important step in strengthening our ability to serve clients across Western and Central India,” he said.
Sharad Kachalia, Chairman and Managing Director of Navnit Maserati, said the company aims to support Maserati’s presence in the country.
“The group is appointed to represent Maserati as its official partner for Western and Central India,” Kachalia said.
Maserati said it is working to ensure a transition for customers following the change in its retail representation in Mumbai. The company added that the appointment forms part of its retail strategy in India aimed at providing long-term support to customers.
