Big B is proud that India is no longer a weak, fragile country

Amitabh Bachchan says India is no longer looked upon as a 'soft, weak country', expresses pride: 'We are tough and strong'

Amitabh Bachchan makes sure to stay connected to his fans through social media and his blog, despite his work commitments and busy schedule. The actor also expresses his thoughts on various subjects and now he has expressed immense pride in India’s growing global stature, saying the country is no longer perceived as a “soft, weak nation.” The veteran actor recently shared his thoughts on his blog after coming across a phrase that deeply resonated with him.“Came across a wonderful phrase : ‘India ‘anti- fragile’ …’ simply brilliant .. India no longer a nation looked upon as a soft weak country…,” he wrote. Reflecting on the term, Amitabh said he feels proud that India is no longer viewed as vulnerable or easily threatened.“We are no longer fragile – tenuous, easily broken, easily destroyed, easily threatened, vulnerable .. we are tough and strong , no longer looked upon as a fragile nation .. filled with pride .. face up, chest out .. COME ONNNN!!!” he added. On work front, Bachchan is occupied with the sequel to Nag Ashwin’s blockbuster ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which stars Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.Earlier this week, Amitabh also reflected on the impact television serials can have on audiences and how viewers often become emotionally invested in fictional characters and storylines. “Is it just me or with others too .. watching a serial that coerces you to keep taking valuable time on its continuity, has the effect of drawing one into the narrative and opting for one of the characters that you prefer , giving rise to your behaviour and demeanor as the character .. !! strange .. ,” he wrote. He further added, “And the feel of wanting the storyline to be doing justice to your thoughts and desires rather than what is being enacted before you on screen .. na .. ???!!! long pause .. ok maybe not.”
