Iran has responded to claims by US President Donald Trump regarding a possible agreement between Washington and Tehran, stating that no final decision has been made on the proposed deal. According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei, the government will make an official announcement only after the relevant authorities reach a conclusion on the draft agreement and its terms. Baghaei said that Iran remains firm on its key conditions and emphasized that negotiations are still ongoing. He also revealed that Qatar and Pakistan have been actively involved in mediation efforts aimed at facilitating dialogue between the two sides. However, he claimed that recent actions by the United States have affected the diplomatic process. While Iran acknowledged that it had agreed to a significant portion of the draft proposal, it alleged that the United States had repeatedly changed its position during negotiations. The statement contrasts with Trump’s assertion that the agreement is nearly complete and awaiting signatures.
