Fresh political developments in West Bengal have intensified speculation over possible defections within the Trinamool Congress (TMC). According to sources, TMC MP Saini Ghosh, along with Mitali Bag, Mala Roy, and Pratibha Mandal, allegedly met Union Minister Bhupender Yadav in Delhi in the presence of Suvendu Adhikari. However, Pratibha Mandal has denied attending the meeting, claiming she has been in Kolkata since June 4. The reported meeting comes amid ongoing rumors of unrest within the TMC and discussions about its political future. Earlier, Mamata Banerjee met Sonia Gandhi, while Abhishek Banerjee reportedly held talks with Rahul Gandhi, triggering speculation about a possible understanding between the TMC and Congress. Both parties have officially denied any merger plans. Political observers point to a series of resignations and meetings involving TMC leaders and BJP figures over the past few days, adding to the uncertainty. While no official confirmation has emerged regarding defections or strategic alliances, the developments have fueled debate over the stability of the TMC and the evolving political landscape in West Bengal.
