When Shah Rukh Khan’s epic prank left entire team speechless

When Shah Rukh Khan’s epic prank left Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta and the entire team speechless - Watch

Bollywood’s beloved prankster, Shah Rukh Khan, has always been known for bringing laughter wherever he goes. Whether it was during promotions, award shows, or international tours, the superstar often kept those around him entertained with his quick wit. One such unforgettable moment from 2004 has resurfaced online, reminding fans of SRK’s mischievous side.

Shah Rukh Khan’s epic prank during the Temptation tour

Back in 2004, Shah Rukh was travelling across the globe as part of the hugely popular ‘Temptation 2004’ tour. Joining him were several Bollywood stars, including Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal, Priyanka Chopra, and Rani Mukerji. A now-viral video from the tour shows what initially appeared to be a tense backstage confrontation. The actors are seen gathering around crew members after an alleged audio-visual mishap disrupted one of the performances.

Shah Rukh Khan launches into a tirade

The situation escalated when Shah Rukh began questioning the technical team about why the song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ had reportedly played at the wrong time during his act. Holding a cup of coffee and smoking a cigarette, the actor dramatically expressed his frustration.“We get shocked with the d*mn thing and then the AV goes wrong. I got hurt, I don’t know when it is starting, I run down. What is this nonsense yaar.” As the crew attempted to explain that it was merely a technical issue, Shah Rukh refused to accept the justification and continued his mock outrage. “Technical things…It is the tenth show, it is not the first show. How can we keep on screwing up with every show. Every show! We only have seven left now yaar.”

Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Rampal join the act

The prank became even more convincing when Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Rampal decided to play along. Arjun claimed that his own AV cues had malfunctioned, while Saif sternly urged the crew members to take the matter seriously. “Tell him, explain na. Don’t hang your head like a schoolboy. This is not a school man.”Shah Rukh also pointed at a crew member who appeared to be smiling during the exchange and remarked: “But listen, when you fcked up, can you not laugh at least. That guy is Fcking cracking up. I mean, we are trying to put on a show.”After keeping everyone on edge for more than four minutes, Shah Rukh finally dropped the act. The superstar burst into a smile and revealed that the entire confrontation had been staged as a practical joke. He then encouraged Priyanka Chopra, Rani Mukerji, and Preity Zinta to hug the crew member, Mazar, who had unknowingly become the centre of the prank. What began as a seemingly heated backstage meltdown turned out to be one of the most memorable practical jokes from the ‘Temptation 2004’ tour, perfectly showcasing Shah Rukh Khan’s legendary sense of humour and ability to keep his co-stars guessing.
