The Middle East tensions continue to escalate as reports suggest widening rifts between the United States and Israel while military operations against Iran and allied groups intensify. US military reportedly downed Iranian attack drones near the Strait of Hormuz, citing threats to commercial shipping and regional security. At the same time US media reports claim Israeli intelligence activities inside the United States have raised concerns within the Pentagon. Israel has strongly denied the allegations, insisting its operations target adversaries and not allied governments. Separately Iran has threatened strategic waterways including Bab al Mandeb and reiterated control over the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile Pakistan’s mediation efforts have been rejected by Iran, which insists it does not require intermediaries for US dialogue. Israeli forces also intensified strikes in Lebanon targeting Hezbollah positions, causing casualties and destruction amid fragile ceasefire talks. Mass protests in Israel against Prime Minister Netanyahu have further deepened domestic political pressure amid rising regional instability and uncertainty global tensions.
