Middle East Conflict: Hezbollah Rejects Ceasefire, Claims Strike on Israeli Tank as Iran Shows Support

Hezbollah has rejected the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, stating that it will continue its military campaign until Israeli forces completely withdraw from southern Lebanon and relinquish control of the area. The group declared that it does not recognize the ceasefire and will maintain its operations against Israel as long as Israeli troops remain in the region. Amid the ongoing tensions, Hezbollah also claimed responsibility for destroying an Israeli Merkava tank near Beaufort Castle using an anti-tank missile. The group said the strike was highly accurate and resulted in the tank’s complete destruction. Hezbollah further claimed to have targeted an Israeli military support center. However, Israel has not officially confirmed these claims. Meanwhile, in Iran’s capital, Tehran, large rallies were held during Eid al-Ghadir, with thousands expressing support for Iran, Hezbollah, and Lebanon. Demonstrators carried Hezbollah and Palestinian flags and chanted anti-Israel and anti-American slogans. Separate gatherings were also organized in support of Lebanon, where participants displayed photographs of victims killed in the conflict and paid tribute to Hezbollah members and civilians who lost their lives in Israeli attacks.
