Internet reacts to Arijit’s London show ending abruptly

Arijit Singh's London concert ends abruptly: Internet reacts as stadium cuts power: ‘No goodbye, no last note’

Arijit Singh is one of the most loved Indian artists, known to tug at the heartstrings with his soulful melodies. Thus, it didn’t come as a surprise when his London show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium left the fans wanting more. However, it wasn’t just his exceptional vocals that made the fans crave; allegedly, his show was cut short after the authorities turned off the power because of the curfew timeline.

Internet users react to Arijit Singh’s London concert’s abrupt ending

Arijit Singh went up to the stage with unmatched energy and a bag full of songs. From ‘Saiyaara’ to ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan,’ ‘Sapphire’ and many others, his every song hit differently. Impressed and elated, concert attendees and fans shared several pictures and videos from the event. One of the netizens shared, “This man is so insane & got gifted… The command Arijit Singh has on music, wahhhh !!!!!””What a memorable night. The stadium had to close roads 1 mile around & all the bars in the area played Arijit songs last night.. Tottenham take over,” mentioned another user. Meanwhile, another fan referred to Arijit as ‘The King of Asia’ and wrote, “He is singing every song so perfectly.”Amid all this came a video of Arijit singing ‘Deva Deva’ from ‘Brahmastra.’ The clip showed that the sound was cut off, and the crowd shouted as fireworks went off. “Arijit Singh kept asking them for 20 more minutes…but at 10.30 pm sharp, Tottenham stadium pulled the plug,” read the text on the video. Meanwhile, the caption read “No goodbye, no last note. Just silence at 10:30 pm.” “London stadium allegedly cut power at Arijit Singh’s show without letting him say goodbye or finish the song due to curfew time of 10:30 pm,” read another post, wherein the disappointed fans were seen leaving the stadium.

Internet users come in support of the organisers

Though the show ended abruptly and it left everyone disappointed, many internet users saw the practical reasoning behind the organiser’s decision.”Wish India took curfew times this seriously too,” read a post, while a fan mentioned, “Noise Pollution is taken seriously in the UK, which includes people reporting any violation past the curfew time. Arijit also came late to the venue, one of the reasons for the delayed end.” Echoing similar sentiments, another post read – “Rules are rules. I wish this had happened in India, too.”

Love continues

The internet is divided on whether the organisers did the right thing or not, but the point where they all agree is that it was a magical musical night. The love for Arijit Singh continues to melt hearts and bring people together. Go to Source
